Disaster Preparedness Program:

Natural disaster is very common in Bangladesh. A large number of people become the victims of drought, flood, cyclone and river erosion on a regular basis. To reduce the vulnerability of the victims, Nabolok has initiated a disaster preparedness program. People are given education and training about how to cope with a disaster. Nabolok organized and encouraged people to develop a reserve fund of their own to deal with emergency food and medicine requirements. Under the VILLAGE project Nabolok has also developed Linkages and coordination with Union and Upazilla level Disaster Management and Preparedness (DMP) Committee through coordination meeting.
