Women & child trafficking and rights.

Women and child trafficking is at present a big global issue. This trade results in unimaginable mental and physical abuse, loss of human dignity, violation of countless human rights. It is a modern form of slavery, violates national and international laws against rape, torture, abduction and murder. Bangladesh is one of the countries seriously affected by the out-trafficking of women and children. Thousands of men, women and children are trafficked out of the country every year. Exact number of women and children trafficked out are not available. GOB and various NGO network's are showing many activities against trafficking. Nabolok also taken cultural programs, awareness and advocacy campaigning for contributing to the GOB policy to reduce women & children trafficking. Nabolok also taken initiatives to community awareness raised against the tricks of the traffickers.

Nabolok's Folk song against women & children trafficking

Under the VILLAGE project in Rampal Nabolok has taken initiatives of awareness campaigns and strong motivation through Folk Song, Court yard meeting & large scale discussion with group members and local civil society members. Nabolok prepare a folk song on Women & child trafficking. These folk songs become very popular and effective to address the community people.

Protect Women Rights

Protect domestic violence against women: Domestic violence becomes a serious issue in the family lives of the married women in Bangladesh as well as in the Sub-Continent. In 2005 Nabolok joined an alliance led by Oxfam GB, to address domestic violence against women.
